Welcome to St. Michael's Post 1562 & Auxiliary

Catholic War Veterans and Auxiliary of the USA

We are a Veterans Service Organization made up of Catholic Veterans and Auxiliary members

advocating for and supporting Veterans, their families, and our communities through fellowship, charitable activities, and veteran services regardless of religious belief, as well as supporting the youth and other various community efforts.

How do you support the community?

We support many organizations which focus on Veterans' Morale, Welfare and Recreation such as House of Heroes - CT, Tunnel 2 Towers, and the VAVS.

Our Post and Auxiliary support Youth such as the Naval Sea Cadets - Barque Eagle Division, academic and sports programs at St. Mary - St. Michael School in Derby, the Lower Naugatuck Boys and Girls Club, , local schools, Seymour-Oxford Food Bank and other non-profit community agencies.

Do You Need Assistance from a Veteran Service Officer ?

The Catholic War Veterans has accredited VA Service Officers who, upon request will help veterans prepare claims and obtain earned VA Benefits. This service is rendered regardless of the veteran’s faith affiliation, and whether the veteran is on Active duty, Retired, or affiliated with a Reserve or National Guard unit. If the Catholic War Veterans (CWV) does not have a VA Service Officer in your local area, our CWV National Service Officer will connect you with one.
